Book Editing FAQs
Answers to common questions about our book editing services.
What are the different types of editing services?
We offer three types of editing services: Proofreading (fixes line breaks, widows/orphans, and spacing issues), Copyediting (corrects grammar, punctuation, syntax, and ensures consistency), and Line Editing (improves clarity, flow, tone, and word choice).
How much does book editing cost?
Prices are per A4 page: Proofreading (TZS 1,700), Copyediting (TZS 2,000), and Line Editing (TZS 2,500).
Do you make content changes or just correct errors?
Proofreading and Copyediting focus on correcting errors and ensuring consistency. Line Editing goes further, suggesting improvements to clarity, tone, and readability, and may involve rephrasing sentences or improving word choice.
How do I submit my manuscript?
You can submit your manuscript in common formats such as PDF, Word, or plain text. We handle both small and large manuscripts efficiently.
How long does the editing process take?
Delivery time depends on manuscript length and the type of editing requested. We provide estimated timelines when you submit your manuscript and prioritize quality alongside speed.
Can I request revisions after editing?
Yes. You can review your edited manuscript and request clarifications or minor adjustments. Major revisions may incur additional charges depending on the service level.
Will my style or voice be preserved?
Absolutely. Our editors aim to maintain your authorial voice and style while enhancing readability, grammar, and flow. Line Editing improves clarity without changing your unique tone.
