This Discount Policy (“Policy”) governs the discounts and special offers provided by DL Bookstore (“the Company”) to its customers, including authors using our author services and readers purchasing books through our website. By engaging with our services or purchasing our products, the customer agrees to the terms of this Policy.

1. Scope of Application

This Policy applies to:

1.1 Author Services

Discounts under Sections 2–5 apply only to the following author services:

  • Book Cover Design

  • Layout Design

  • Book Editing

  • Book Translation

The “customer” under Sections 2–5 refers to an author working with the Company on a book project.

1.2 Book Purchases

Discounts for readers (non-author customers buying books) are governed exclusively by Section 6.

2. New Author Customers

2.1 New customers are not eligible for discounts except under the following conditions:

a. Referral Condition:
If the customer has been referred by another client, a discount of up to 5% may be offered.
The exact amount shall be determined by the Company’s team and shall not exceed the 5% limit.

b. High-Value Project Condition:
If the total project cost exceeds TZS 100,000, the Company may grant a discount at its discretion.

3. Returning Author Customers (2–4 Projects)

A customer returning for the second up to the fourth project shall be eligible for:

  • A 10% discount, provided the total project cost exceeds TZS 100,000.

4. Regular (VIP) Author Customers (5+ Projects)

A customer who has completed five (5) or more projects with the Company shall be classified as a Regular/VIP Customer.

Such customers are eligible for:

  • A 15% discount, provided the project cost exceeds TZS 100,000.

5. Referral-Based Discounts for Authors

5.1 Any customer who refers a new client who successfully completes a project with the Company is eligible for:

  • A discount of up to 10% on the next project they undertake with the Company.

5.2 The exact discount amount shall be determined by the Company’s team but shall not exceed the 10% maximum.

6. Discounts for Book Readers (Non-Author Customers)

6.1 Discount Listings

Discounts for books available for sale are published on the Company’s designated discount page:

6.2 Free Delivery for Paperback Orders

A reader who purchases paperback books totaling over TZS 200,000 shall be entitled to free delivery, regardless of the number of books purchased.

6.3 eBook Bulk Purchase Discounts

For eBook purchases:

  • If the total purchase amount exceeds TZS 50,000 → 5% discount

  • If the total purchase amount exceeds TZS 100,000 → 10% discount

7. Special Bonuses for Returning and VIP Author Customers

The Company may, at its discretion, offer additional bonuses to returning and VIP author customers, including but not limited to:

  • Complimentary additional book mockups

  • Book features on the Company’s blog

  • Free consultations

  • Other promotional benefits

These bonuses are not guaranteed and may vary depending on internal promotional programs.

8. Administration and Amendments

8.1 All discounts are applied before taxes and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated by the Company.
8.2 The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Policy at any time without prior notice.
